Lauane Coornaert is a belgium architect, who leads workshop and collaborative construction sites. She’s a founder of Degré 47,
an architectural office for a healthy, sustainable and accessible habitat.
She’s also the author or the Straw Bale and Self Building course on our criti.co on-line learning platform. And most of all, she’s known for her remarkable and inspiring energy, that always activates the whole team!

Laura Sobral is an Urbanist and Architect & Co-founder of the Instituto A Cidade Precisa de Você in Brazil. She has been researching and organizing urban interventions and temporary architecture projects in public spaces with the intent of fostering active citizenship by linking culture and city. She’s the author of the Insurgent Urbanism: from Activism to Public Policies course on our criti.co on-line learning platform.

Paolo is an architect based in Porto and is currently the Director of ESAP’s Sustainable Architecture Postgraduate and of the Master’s Degree in Architecture.

vice on ecological design? Sheila is one of the founders of the Southern Lights, a non-profit organisation based in the South of Peloponnese in Greece in a beautiful agroforestry farm. Their mission is the spread knowledge techniques and the mindset for regenerative practices in all domains of human activity. Through workshops, networking and building active and alive examples of regenerative practices in close collaboration with other organisations, public entities and ecological enterprises.
Melana & vadim, build_shift
Melana and Vadim are former workers of Critical Concrete and founders of build_shift, a forum that collects hand-picked job offers dealing with shaping urban and rural living environments that seriously focus on the principles of sustainability and fairness – be it from the perspective of culture, community, construction, technology, education or art. They help to find or post jobs that are fun and challenging, mostly in non-profit organizations, NGOs, associations, foundations, think tanks, research, culture, and education.

Founder of Critical Concrete, Samuel has managed many ecological construction projects, implementing innovative, low-tech solutions. Additionally, through his work at CC, he has organised numerous international summer schools and overseen the founding in the sustainable, online learning platform, criti.co. Cesar Cardoso is an expert in using Hemp as a construction material. His project, NATURA MATÉRIA is a company that provides consulting services and markets products for construction that respect the new demands of the market, in terms of sustainability, based on the concept of circular economy and healthy housing. The priority is to stimulate a culture of innovation in modern architecture, at the level of projects and works, using natural or recycled materials with low environmental impact.
